Nasim's 1st janaza held; Body taken up to Banani Graveyard
The first namaj-e-janaza for Awami League presidium member and former Health Minister Mohammad Nasim happened at Sobhanbag Jame Mosque in city's Dhanmondi area on Sunday morning.
The janaza happened around 9:35am maintaining health guidelines. Soon after, the body was taken up to Banani Graveyard Mosque where his second janaza will become held.
Awami Group presidium member and Sirajganj-1 lawmaker Mohammad Nasim died on Saturday morning at Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in the capital at 11:10 am after fighting forever for eight consecutive times. He was 72.
He was first admitted to a healthcare facility for COVID-19 treatment on June 1 and, later, he previously suffered a human brain haemorrhage in the early hours of June 5 while undergoing treatment.
