Anti-India criticism becomes fashion of BNP: Nasim
Awami League (AL) presidium member Mohammed Nasim today said the anti-India criticism has turned into a fashion of BNP as a vested quarter sees the existing friendly relation between Bangladesh-India negatively.

“The anti-India criticism has now become a fashion of BNP as the golden era of Bangladesh-India relationship is prevailing now. A vested quarter sees this Bangladesh-India friendship negatively,” he told journalists after a round table discussion.

The discussion titled ‘Bangladesh-India Compromise Memorandum’ was held at the central office of Awami League (AL) in city’s Bangabandhu Avenue arranged by AL-led the 14-party alliance.

Nasim said rumors and propaganda are now being spread across the country. Authentic information should be provided to offset these rumors and propaganda, he added.

About propaganda, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD) President Hasanul Haq Inu said the vested quarter spreading that Bangladesh-India treaties are being done selling interests of Bangladesh. “In fact, they are seeing those issues in line with Pakistani sentiment.”

It was also addressed, among others, by Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Secretary General Shirin Akhtar and Tariqat Federation President Alhaj Najibul Bashar Maizbhandari.
