My love for art blossomed in Kolkata
Kolkata is a city with a rich cultural heritage and many people here are connoisseurs of art. As for me, my penchant for art developed quite early in life. Be it a song, a poem, a sketch or a film, art is something we can all relate to. To me, art is a gift, a tool we can use to showcase the beauty of even ordinary things in life. It is through art - acting and sketching in my case - that I want to convey my thoughts to the world.
I want to broaden my understanding of art. There are things which are beyond my knowledge or experience, things that are incomprehensible, but to me they are also art. There are many forms of art and it is a daunting task to select just one path that can explain my involvement with art.
All through my life, I have been drawing, painting, sculpting and creating art. I wish to continue doing so even in the future. Whenever I get some time off, you will find me with my paintbrushes and colours.
Acting, too, is an art. As an actor, I want to give life to different characters which will eventually help me connect with the audience. And Kolkata has shaped the artist in me.
