Music director Imtiaz Bulbul passes away
Ekushey Padak-winning lyricist, music director and composer Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul passed away at a hospital in Dhaka early Tuesday. He was 63.
His personal assistant Rozen said Bulbul was taken to Ayesha Memorial Hospital in Mohakhali from his Aftabnagar residence as he felt sick around 4am.
Doctor of the hospital said that he suffered a cardiac arrest and died before he was brought to the hospital.
He had been suffering from heart diseases for a long time.
His body is kept at his residence.
Freedom fighter Imtiaz Bulbul joined the Liberation War in 1971 at the age of 15.
He won a number of awards, including Ekushey Padak, National Film Award and the President Award.
