Motivate rural persons to get vaccinated: PM
Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday asked the users of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP to motivate rural persons to get the COVID-19 vaccine to get rid of the pandemic.
“I would like to request you (Ansar and VDP staff) to motivate rural persons to get vaccinated to ensure that all the persons of Bangladesh get safeguard from the global coronavirus pandemic. Our efforts to the end will continue,” she explained while addressing the 41st National Rally of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP.
The Prime Minister joined the event at Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Academy in Shafipur of Gazipur nearly from her official residence Ganobhaban.
Noting that the Covid-19 inoculation program has recently started in the country, Sheikh Hasina asked every person in the Ansar and VDP to encourage every person to receive vaccinated in due time. “Many people are even afraid of injection [obtaining the shot],” she added.
The Prime Minister went on saying, “We’ve taken measures in order that people will get vaccinated in time alongside following health protocol. We look for your (Ansar and VDP) cooperation in this respect.”
Hasina said people will get registered to get Covid-19 inoculation going to their nearby digital centres and urged all to come to be sincere in order that they with their family members take the vaccine.
At the function, the Prime Minister received a salute from a magnificent parade of the Ansar and VDP members.
House Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, with respect to the Prime Minister, paid eight types of particular medals to 140 Ansar and VDP customers for his or her bravery and praiseworthy solutions.
The medals are Bangladesh Ansar Medal, President's Ansar Medal, Bangladesh VDP Medal, President VDP Medal, Bangladesh Ansar Offerings Medal, President's Ansar Offerings Medal, Bangladesh VDP Solutions Medal and President's VDP Companies Medal.
Senior Secretary to General public Security Division Mostafa Kamal Uddin spoke at the function, while Director Standard of Bangladesh Ansar and VDP Major Basic Mizanur Rahman Shameem delivered the welcome speech.
