Mother kills self, 2 daughters
A mother and her minor two daughters were killed in a murder-suicide in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram district early Tuesday.
Deceased Deisy Akter, 28, was the wife of Nur Nabi, a resident of Sikderpara in the upazila, and their daughters-- Eva Akter, 6, and Israt Nur, 10-month).
Rangunia Police Station officer in-charge Imtiaz Bhuiyan confirmed the matter.
Quoting family members, the OC said that Deisy poisoned her daughters and then took it herself around 12:30am.
Other members of the family took the trio to Rangunia Upazila Health Complex. They were later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated. Doctors pronounced them dead around 1:30am.
The OC said that they are investigating family members' claim.
