Mokammel's three films to participate in Colombo fest
Ekushey Padak winning filmmaker Tanvir Mokammel's films 'Jibandhuli', 'Chitra Nadir Parey' and 'Shimantarekha' is going to participate in Colombo Film Festival in Sri Lanka. 

The three-day festival will kick off on March 29. Tanvir Mokammel is also scheduled to attend the festival and deliver a lecture. Among the three films, 'Jibandhuli' and 'Chitra Nadir Parey' are liberation war-based feature films, while 'Simantorekha' is documentary on the 1947 partition of India. 

'Chitra Nadir Parey' starring Momtajuddin Ahmed, Afsana Mimi, Rowshan Jamil, Tauquir Ahmed and others, is a film which revolves around a Hindu family in the then East Pakistan. 'Jibandhuli' features the struggles and pains of a low-caste Hindu drummer during the liberation war. 

The film stars Shatabdi Wadud, Ramendu Majumder, Tabibul Islam Babu, Wahida Mallik Joly, Chittralekha Guha, Joytika Joyti and others. 'Simantorekha' deals with the partition of the India in 1947 and how it affected the lives of millions of people.
