Modi accepts invitation to centenary celebration of Bangabandhu
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted the invitation to the centenary celebration of the birth of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Bangladesh’s outgoing High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali made a farewell call on him at his office on Monday (December 16) , a press release said.
“I look forward to attending the ceremony,” Modi told the envoy.
Narendra Modi commended the remarkable progress that Bangladesh has made in every sector under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Indian premier also thanked the outgoing high commissioner for the contributions that he has made in promoting the India-Bangladesh relations, seen as a golden chapter, during his five-year tenure.
