Missing university student found dead in septic tank
Police recovered the body of a university student from a septic tank in Gazipur district on Thursday morning, 10 days after he went missing from capital Dhaka.
Deceased Ismail Hossain Jisan, 24, was the honours final year student of the European University of Bangladesh, said Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station officer in-charge Jane Alam.
Earlier on May 12, Jisan went missing from city's Shyamoli area.
While investigating the incident, police detained one Hasibul Islam on Wednesday night.
On information given by Hasibul, police recovered Jisan's body from a home at Madhya para of Kamarjuti area under Gachha Police Station, Gazipur.
Besides study, Jisan used to transport passengers by motorcycle through ride sharing app, said OC Jane Alam, adding, he might have been murdered to snatch away his motorcycle.
