Mild tremor jolts Dhaka, other areas of country
A good mild tremor was felt in Dhaka plus some additional parts of the country on Sunday afternoon.
The tremor of 5.1 magnitude was recorded and the epicentre of the quake was in the India-Myanmar border region, about 279 km East of Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Section (BMD) in the city's Agargaon area.
The tremor, categorised as a average one, was felt at 4.46pm, informed the BMD.
No reports of destruction triggered the earthquake was reported yet.
