‘Meizan Palm Olein Shera Rondhonshilpi 2018’ launched Last date of registration September 20, 2018
Dhaka : Country’s premier culinary talent hunt competition and popular TV Reality Show ‘Meizan Palm Olein Shera Rondhonshilpi 2018’ has been launched, inviting entries from the interested culinary artists. The Reality Show is being sponsored by “Meizan” brand fortified palm olein of Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited (BEOL). The program is presented by the country’s popular TV channel ATN Bangla and leading tourism and aviation fortnightly The Bangladesh Monitor. Total 13 episodes of the competition will be telecast in ATN Bangla once a week at peak time in the evening from the last week of October this year.
Kazi Wahidul Alam, Editor of The Bangladesh Monitor formally launched the competition at a press conference held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel today, August 9. M. Shamsul Huda, Chief Advisor and Tashik Ahmed, SVP of ATN Bangla, Parvez A. Chowdhury, Principal National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute, Faisal Mahmud, Marketing Manager of Bangladesh Edible Oil Limited spoke on the occasion among others.
Each interested culinary artist needs to submit at least one entry to participate in the competition. Entry should be sent to ‘The Bangladesh Monitor, City Heart (9th Floor), 67 Naya Paltan, Dhaka-1000 latest by September 20, 2018. Each entry should contain a recipe of Bangladeshi main dish meant for four adult people, participant’s name, passport size photo, contact details, Division from which he/she intends to compete. A single participant is allowed to submit more than one entry.
Registrants will be divided into four regional groups. A Jury Committee comprising culinary experts, nutritionists, celebrity chefs, will select 6 participants from each Region, based on the recipes and will invite them to take part in the TV Reality Show. The participants will go through several Elimination Rounds and the best 4 participants will demonstrate their culinary expertise, creativity, and nutrition knowledge etc. on different themes in last three episodes. Names of the winners will be announced at the Grand Finale and Award Presentation Ceremony.
The winner will receive a cash ward of Tk. 3 lakh and return air ticket to Dubai for two persons, while the Runner-up Tk. one lakh. One contestant will be honored with “Prof. Siddiqua Kabir Trophy” for best nutrition knowledge.
