'Megher Domru'
Renowned singer Bappa Mazumder, known mostly for his soft rock and romantic songs, has lent his voice to a Nazrul song for the first time. A music video of the song 'Megher Domru' has been launched on Bappa Mazumder's official Youtube page on Saturday marking the national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam's 120th birth anniversary.
The music video stars Baapa and a synchronized dance recital by Nadia Ahmed.'Tagore and Nazrul songs have been part of my upbringing. I listened to and learnt Tagore and Nazrul songs from my parents. Earlier, I have sung a few Tagore songs, but this is the first time I recorded any Nazrul song,' said Bappa Majumder.
