MCCI welcomes budget but worried over implementation
The Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Sector (MCCI) welcomed the proposed cover 2021-22 fiscal year, but it thinks implementation of the annual plan will be the biggest challenge.
Among the leading organization chambers of the country thanked the federal government for giving concern on health and agriculture sectors along with total development of recruiting, rural development and work creation.
It as well thanked the government for the continuation of the execution of the stimulus packages.
The trade body believes the upcoming fiscal year could be one of the most challenging years from the perspective of fiscal management because of the present monetary slowdown due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The chamber shared the observation today in a news release, which also contains its budget reaction.
"Revenue mobilisation will be a daunting task," according to the statement.
MCCI termed the price range simply because courageous and forward-looking in many aspects.
However, the major issues of proper implementation and ensuring the standard of public spending must be addressed if the country is to obtain the full benefits associated with the proposed budgetary allocations and fiscal and various other incentives, it added.
