Low over bay: Storm rushing to country's coastal region at 80kph
Country's coastal region is likely to experience strong storm with wind speed as high as 60 to 80 kilometer each hour (kph) due to the low pressure developed in the Bay of Bengal.

Due to this fact, low-lying regions of 12 coastal districts apt to be inundated by wind-driven surge of just one 1 to 2 2 feet height.

In its latest weather bulletin, the Met Office said on Saturday afternoon that the well-marked low over northwest bay and adjoining Odisha-Gangetic West Bengal coast, now lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining northwest bay and southwestern part of Bangladesh.

Under its influence, strong monsoon and steep pressure gradient persists over north bay.

Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, north bay and adjoining coastal regions of Bangladesh. Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have already been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal No. 3.

Consuming the well-marked low, low-lying areas of the coastal districts of Cox's Bazar and Chittagong, Noakhali, Luxmipur, Borguna, Bhola, Patuakhali, Barishal, Pirojpur, Bagerhat, Khulna, Satkhira, and their offshore islands and chars are likely to be inundated by wind-driven surge of just one 1 to 2 2 feet height above normal astronomical tide.

All fishing boats for sale and trawlers over north bay have already been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice.
