Liberation War organiser Mozammel Haque dies
Md Mozammel Haque, among the organisers of Liberation War, passed on at his residence in Bagrakhasa of Sherpur district town's Bagrakhasa about Saturday evening. He was 81.

Mozammel breathed his last at his residence around 8pm. He previously been experiencing various ailments, studies UNB.

He's survived by several sons and a good daughter.

Through the Liberation War, he headed the Chhatra Group unit of Sherpur thana product and was an associate of the Sarbadalia Chhatra Sangram Parishad.

He served as standard secretary of the ruling party's Sherpur product from 1986 to 2007.

Mozammel had to invest 17 months in jail for protesting against the killing of Daddy of the country Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman found in 1975. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasaina donated Tk 21 lakh for the treatment of the Liberation War organiser last year.

She expressed profound shock at his loss of life and prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul.

Mozammel's namaz-e-janaza will come to be held on the Sherpur Federal government College ground in the district town around 2:30pm on Sunday, his family group source said.

He will end up being laid to rest at the town's Chapatali municipal graveyard.

Awami League's Sherpur product President Atiur Rahman Atik (MP), Standard Secretary Chandan Kumar Paul, Zila Parisahd Chairman Humayun Kabir Ruman, Municipality Mayor Golam Mohammad Kibria Liton, amongst others, mourned his death.
