Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal awarded to eminent lawyer Rafiqul Haque
Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) recognised Barrister Rafiqul Haque, an eminent lawyer, and social worker for his contribution to the society and nation at a ceremony held at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST) auditorium on September 1.
The Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal 2017 award was handed over by Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam to the 26th Gold Medal recipient to Barrister Rafiqul Haque. He was also given a crest, a cheque of BDT Two Lakh and a volume of books authored by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah.
The ceremony was presided over by National Professor Dr. Anisuzzaman. Dr M Ehsanur Rahman, Executive Director of DAM presented his opening remarks, while, Dr Mohammad Abdul Majid, former Secretary and former Chairman of NBR, former Attorney General and senior lawyer A F Hassan Arif, Prof Dr Kazi Shariful Alam, Treasurer and Pro-Vice Chancellor of AUST, Dr S M Khalilur Rahman, General Secretary of DAM also spoke at the occasion.
Chief Guest of the occasion Chief Justice of bangladesh Supreme Court Syed Mahmud Hossain lauded the role of Dhaka Ahsania Mission in their contribution in education, social development, health services and establishment of cancer hospital and educational institutions, mosque and orphanage.
The Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal was awarded to 25 eminent personalities for their contribution to the society since 1986.
The ceremony was attended by large number of educationists, senior lawyers, and former recipients of Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah Gold Medal.
