Jute mill workers' strike snaps Khulna’s rail links
Khulna's train communication with rest of Bangladesh remained suspended since Wednesday morning after state-owned jute mills workers are continuing blocking railway and roads for the second day.
No train left Khulna Railway Station from 6:00am due to the strike that caused severe sufferings to the passengers.
Manik Chandra Sarker, Khulna Railway Sation master, confirmed the matter, reports a Bangla online portal.
The roads and railway blockade started from 6:00am and will end at 12:00 noon.
The workers of nine jute mills enforced a 72-hour strike, and roads and rail routes blockade for four hours each day of the strike across the country to press home their demands including implementation of the wage commission.
