Journalist Mahfuz Ullah to be flown to Bangkok
Ailing senior journalist Mahfuz Ullah will be flown to Thailand Wednesday night for advanced medical treatment.
An air ambulance carrying the journalist is scheduled to take off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Bangkok at 11pm, said BNP chairperson's media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
He said Mahfuz Ullah has been suffering from various health complications, including cardiac, kidney and lung problems.
Earlier on Apr 2, the journalist was admitted to the city's Square Hospital as he fell sick seriously.
He has been kept at the coronary care unit (CCU) of the hospital under cardiologist Dr Mahbub Mansur, a Square Hospital official told UNB.
