Jaya starrer films to be screened at DIFF 2019
With the theme 'Better Film, Better Audience, Better Society', the 17th edition of  the Dhaka International Film Festival, organized by the Rainbow Film Society, celebrated Bangladeshi actress Jaya Ahsan-starrer two films 'Debi' and 'Ek Je Chhilo Raja' are scheduled to be screened at the upcoming Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF), to hold from January 10 to 18, 2019.

The films are going to be screened under the Bangladesh Panorama section in DIFF 2019.The film 'Debi', produced by Jaya Ahsan's production house C tey Cinema and directed by Anam Biswas, is based on the much-talked-about novel of famous writer, playwright and director Humayun Ahmed with the same title which also features his famous creation 'Misir Ali'. 

On the other hand, 'Ek Je Chhilo Raja', an Indian Bengali drama film directed by Srijit Mukherji, is based on a true story documented by Partha Bhattacharjee. The film is based on the Bhawal (current Gazipur division of independent Bangladesh) case of 1921. The film is going to be screened under the Asian Film Competition section in the festival.  

According to the festival organizers, the 17th DIFF will screen around 200 films from 60 countries in several sections, including Asian Cinema Competition, Retrospective, Bangladesh Panorama, Cinema of the World, Children's Films, Women Filmmakers, Short and Independent Films, and Spiritual Films.
