Iran blames Israel for Natanz nuclear plant outage
Iran on Monday accused arch-foe Israel of sabotaging their key Natanz nuclear site and vowed revenge for an attack that were latest episode in a good long-running covert war.

Iran said the individual who caused an electric power outage in another of the development halls in the underground uranium enrichment plant have been identified. “Necessary procedures are being taken to arrest this person,” Iranian state mass media reported, without giving further details.

The incident occurred amid diplomatic efforts by Iran and the United States to regenerate Tehran’s 2015 nuclear cope with major powers, an accord Israel fiercely opposed, after former US President Donald Trump abandoned it 3 years ago.

In a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Zarif explained those involved “committed a grave war crime” and “any power with understanding of, or acquiescence in, this act must also be held accountable as an accomplice to the war crime.”

Iranian nuclear energy chief Ali Akbar Salehi reported a crisis power system have been activated at Natanz to offset the outage. “Enrichment of uranium hasn't stopped at the website.”
