Insult of Bangabandhu will never be tolerated: Hasan
Facts Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday said that the insult of Bangabandhu over any issue will not be tolerated.

Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice Mamtaj Uddin Ahmed presided above the function while Press Council member and Daily Azadi Editor MA Malek, performing President of CPC Salauddin Mohammad Reza, Vice President of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists Riaz Haider Chowdhury, Press Council member Abdul Majid and CPC General Secretary Chowdhury Farid, amongst others, spoke on the occasion.
Dr Hasan said that instability is being created in contemporary society by drawing various controversial issues with ill motives.
It's time to resist those that want to have the nation backward and, the minister added.
Dr Hasan urged journalists to be vigilant against those that want to insult Bangabandhu and create violence in society by drawing various problems.
He said that the position of media is important to stop the fanatic forces who are trying to push the united states backward.
The minister said that Bangabandhu had awakened an unarmed and sleeping nation with the motto of independence. Otherwise, the country did not earn liberation, he added.
He said that Bangabandhu was the first ever to inspire the Bengalis with the motto of independence and established an unbiased nation talk about for the Bengalis by sacrificing a good sea of blood found in the thousands years of globe history.
The info minister said that lots of persons had agitated the Bengalis during the past, called for independence, nonetheless it had not been successful. Bangabandhu may be the only head who was able to earn their take pleasure in and inspire them to sacrifice their lives, he added.

Dr Hasan said Bangabandhu established the Bangladesh Press Council found in 1974 with the purpose of resolving any disputes between your newspaper visitors and the media.
The minister said that the Press Council has been established as a judicial board in this instance.
“But more than 45 years after 74, the power of the Press Council isn't much effective. This is why we've taken initiatives to raise the power of the Press Council. The Press Council Action is under procedure for amendment.
We want to present it within the next program of Parliament. If that happens, the energy of the Press Council increase a lot. Then the people as well as the journalists will be able to take remedial action from Press Council,” he added.
Dr Hasan hoped that the Press Council will be able to function effectively for the welfare of the people, journalists and the state as a whole.
