Injured firefighter Sohel Rana flown to Singapore
Firefighter Sohel Rana, who sustained severe injuries during Banani FR Tower fire rescue operation, was taken to Singapore for better treatment on Friday.
Rana who was undergoing treatment in critical condition at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) will be treated at Singapore General Hospital, reports UNB.
An air ambulance carrying Sohel Rana took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:48pm, said a press release of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Senior Station Officer Rayhan Ul Ashraf of the Fire Service will be accompanying him during his treatment, it also reads.
Sohel Rana of Kurmitola Fire Service and Civil Defence, sustained serious injuries on March 28 while rescuing people from the FR Tower fire that claimed 26 lives and left many injured.
