I think it is exciting that the lines between mainstream cinema and digital content are blurring
Nimrat Kaur thought we would be on a path of her own from the time she debuted in Hindi films with The Lunchbox, directed by Ritesh Batra, co-starring Irrfan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Airlift with Akshay Kumar, directed by Raja Krishna Menon, only cemented a spot for her in the business. Around that time, the actress deep-dived into shows like Homeland and Wayward Pines in Hollywood and right into a show revolving all over the world of commandos back. Today, several top actors and actresses in cinema are pleased to make an entry in to the OTT space with digital content.

Commenting about her early entry in to the digital space, Nimrat says, "I think the lines are blurring so much. There are commercial stars who are dipping their feet there and everyone really wants to get something meaningful to focus on. And this content from the digital platforms is having a baby to a complete new range of stars. I think it is exciting that the lines between mainstream cinema and digital content are blurring. Folks have loved the shows and actors who have emerged from there. There is noticeable overlapping and that is quite nice actually. I don't see this as competition for myself because it's great that everyone is working and finding their own calling. I must keep my give attention to what I wish to do, choose what I like. It hasn't been a problem for me personally in that sense.

I had just keep coming back after filming Wayward Pines when Ekta Kapoor had offered me her show. We locked everything rapidly. No one was discussing OTT in those days. I am lucky I did so different things at differing times. Like I shot for Dasvi with Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam, which is again in an area that I've never been in. These consistent opportunities haven't i want to harbour thoughts about increasing competition etc. I could just give attention to what I was doing."
