Highest 45 deaths, 3,171 positive cases per day
Bangladesh on Tuesday recorded another highest death and positive cases from novel coronavirus within a day.
Forty-five died in last a day, raising the full total tally to 975. Of the dead, 33 were male and 12 were female.
Meanwhile, the coronavirus cases reached 71,675 with 3,171 new.
Across the country, a total of 14,664 samples were tested in 55 labs during this period.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the problem during daily online bulletin on coronavirus.
She urged everyone to remain in the home and follow medical guidelines issued by the DGHS and World Health Organisation. She also requested people to use masks outdoor and wash hands with soap.
Some 777 more corona patients have recovered, taking the full total number of recovery to 15,336.
People should careful about children and pregnant woman at their family, Dr Nasima advised.
The worldwide death toll from coronavirus stood at 406,413 on Tuesday morning as the number of confirmed cases were 7,097,717, in line with the Centre for System Science and Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.
