CHT Minister’s assistant among 3 contract coronavirus
Three more persons including Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Bir Bahadur U Shwe Sing MP’s assistant and housekeeper have contracted coronavirus in Bandarban.
Civil surgeon Aung Swe Prue Marma on Sunday night said the minister’s assistant, housekeeper and a Mohila League’s leader tested positive for the deadly virus because they came in touch with the CHT Minister.
They were delivered to isolation centre.
Some other persons were advised to go back home quarantine.
Minister Bir Bahadur U Shwe Sing tested positive for the virus on Saturday night and, later, he was shifted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka by helicopter.
So far, 49 persons contracted coronavirus in Bandarban district while 15 of these recovered.
