'Hawker Ghar' to be released on YouTube
Film-maker Fakhrul Arefeen Khan's new documentary, titled 'Hawker Ghar,' will be released on YouTube in the Gorai Films' YouTube channel. The 37-minute-long documentary will depict the lives led by the devotees of Fakir Lalon Shah.

Speaking about his documentary, Fakhrul said: "I made the film in 2013. My main inspiration behind making this film was promoting our cultural rights. I believe every human being should have the right to promote their culture.

"In the film, you will see the history of the followers of Fakir Lalon, who tried to promote his philosophies and faced many challenges in their life because of it. They were doing this within their cultural rights. There are claims that our country is secular, but the actual activists for that goal will be seen in the film."

The film will show the struggles of the organization Lalon Mazar Sharif O Sheba Sanad Committee, which has been responsible for all the activities of the shrine after the passing of Fakir Lalon. The organization, which is also in charge of executing different festivals held at the shrine, was beaten and driven from that location on many occasions. How that committee survived till today and what is its current activity is the premise of the film.

Fakhrul is a National Film Award-winning director whose last big work was 'Bhuban Majhi.' He told his fans: "Please do not judge the film based on my last work. Keep an open mind and try to delve into the philosophy and the concept behind the subjects shown on the film."
