Govt for social media campaign ahead of polls
The government is eager to get full advantage of social media in highlighting its achievements apart from preventing anti-government propaganda.
In this regard, authorities of radio, television and social networking sites including Facebook and YouTube have been directed strictly to monitor overall activities.
The instructions came from a meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office where information officials from different ministries, divisions, and departments attended, meeting sources told Banglanews.
Besides, directives were given to update websites and Facebook pages of ministries. Achievements of the last 10 years have to be incorporated in ministries’ websites, officials said.
