Hasan conditions TIB’s report one-sided, flawed
Details Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Monday termed many reports of Transparency International of Bangladesh (TIB) due to one-sided, flawed and politically motivated, telling the only work of TIB is to consider faults.
“I'd like to urge the TIB to compare the present circumstances between Bangladesh and Germany, where TIB’s hq is located, and various European countries. They (TIB) can know the problem of Bangladesh,” he explained, BSS reports.
The information minister developed the comments while replying to a query on TIB’s criticism on government’s steps over the ongoing pandemic Coronavirus situation at the meeting room of his secretariat office here.
Hasan said the business (TIB) never praised the government’s works over the last 11 . 5 years. “The TIB advised that there is corruption on the Padma bridge building. The TIB should look for apology to the country as the World Lender lost in a Canadian court over the graft issue,” he added.
In the same way, he said, TIB proved that they didn’t publish all report immediately after conducting research. “A lot of their studies are one-sided and politically motivated to help make the federal government questionable,” said Hasan, as well Awami League joint standard secretary.
Replying to some other query in BNP leaders’ remarks about corona situation, the info minister explained the languages of BNP leaders regarding the ongoing pandemic are incredibly much vicious.
“We hope that they (BNP) will need lesson from other countries actually from neighbouring India. At the beginning of the pandemic, Indian opposition leader Sonia Gandhi wrote a letter to the Indian authorities offering to increase support to the government’s techniques. Terming the problem as war-like, he said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina didn’t sit for an individual point in time. “She (Sheikh Hasina) is usually working relentlessly each day and speaking with all concerned at district and divisional levels. She is presenting directives to get together leaders and also taking part in the ongoing parliament program,” he added.
He said, “Everybody knows that we could be affected by the virus in any moment. But we are doing our careers at offices and party works aswell. Besides, we are likewise supervising our respective constituencies and districts aswell.”
The information minister said two later leaders- Mohammad Nasim and Sheikh Abdullah- got influenced by Coronavirus for rendering humanitarian works for the people. Besides, different Awami Little league leaders and activists, who are in the risk of being affected by the virus, will work for common people, he added.
“These incidents proved our central or grassroots level party leaders and activists and lawmakers aswell have been afflicted with the virus for rendering humanitarian services for the people. We'd have to fight the war by maintaining health codes,” Hasan said.
He said the present situation of the united states is preferable to other countries even the developed countries for the government’s relentless attempts. And the government has taken several steps to develop the health services, he added.
The info minister said, “I'd request BNP leaders to stay beside the common people shunning the road of vicious politics. By remaining safe, it isn't proper to holiday resort to politics that's not expected or regular. The common people wouldn't normally appreciate these activities. Therefore, let’s get together.”
