Grandma-grandson electrocuted in Netrokona
A woman and her minor grandson died from electrocution at Ballania area of sadar upazila on Saturday (July 20) night.
The deceased were identified as Sharifa Akter, 48 wife of Nazrul Islam of Ballania village of Sadar upazila and her grandson Arman Hossain (8).
Netrokona Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Bilal Hossain told Banglanews that the family made a trap with power connections to protect their poultry from wildlife. At night, the woman and her grandson were electrocuted inadvertently when they went to see if the poultry was okay.
Later, they were rescued and taken to Netrokona Adhunik Sadar Hospital where doctors declared the duo dead.
