Govt agreed to journos’ demand: Inu
Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD) president and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the government is bearing the treatment costs of injured journalists and agreeing with their demand of bringing the attackers to book.
The minister made the remarks to reporters before inaugurating the National Tree Fair in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia on Saturday morning (August 11).
Inu said, “I have spoken with the Home Minister to take necessary actions on arresting the responsible person who attacked journalists during their coverage of students’ movement.”
JASOD central committee organizing secretary Abdul Alim Swapon, central committee member Muhammad Abdullah, district JASOD president Golam Mahsin among others were also present at that time.
