Gono Forum expels Sultan Mansur
Gono Forum on Thursday afternoon expelled Sultan Mohammad Mansur from the party for breaching party discipline hours after he was sworn in as a member of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS).
Mostafa Mohsin Montu, general secretary of the party, made the announcement at a briefing at party office in Dhaka.
Earlier Mansur took oath as a Member of Parliament (MP) at 11 am at the JS Bhaban.
Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury administered the oath.
Mansur was elected MP from Moulvibazar-2 seat contesting the December 30 election as a Gono Forum candidate under Jatiya Oikyafront platform with BNP's electoral symbol ‘Sheaf of Paddy’.
