Global Covid-19 death toll tops 100,000
A lot more than 100,000 persons have died world-wide from the Covid-19 coronavirus, with almost 70 per cent of most fatalities in Europe, according to an AFP tally on Fri compiled from official resources.
A complete of 100,661 persons have already been killed, including 70,245 in Europe, because the virus primary emerged in China in December.
Italy gets the highest quantity of deaths with 18,849, accompanied by the United States with 17,925 and 15,843 in Spain.
The figures were published by AFP using official government data and World Well being Organisation statistics. - AFP
