Coronavirus: Cox’s Bazar locked down
Cox’s Bazar district has been put under lockdown on Wednesday (April 8) as a way to check transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Deputy Commissioner Md Kamal Hossain said the district is under lockdown, beginning this afternoon and the lockdown will continue until further notice in this regard.
He also said, “We don't want anyone of the district to get badly infected with the virus. We are imposing the lockdown to ensure that no one will get in or out of your district."
Stern action will be studied if anyone violates this order, Kamal Hossain warned.
