General holidays being expanded till May 30
The government is defined to increase further the ongoing general holidays till May 30 in a bid to avoid the transmission of the deadly coronavirus.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain confirmed the problem Wednesday (May 13).

A good notification will be issued soon in this regard, he said. 

In line with the holiday calendar, Might 21 is Shab-e-Qadr vacation, May 22 and 23 are weekly vacations and could 24 to 26 happen to be Eid holidays.

The federal government on March 23 first declared general holidays starting on March 26.

Bangladesh by Wednesday (May 13) confirmed 17,822 coronavirus (Covid-19) cases. Some 269 patients died and 3,361 patients recovered.
