A good Khulna court on Tuesday pronounced the verdict in a drug case within only three working days. It is normal for the very first time in the country's history.
Khulna Metropolitan Magistrate Dr. M Atiqus Samad passed down the judgment around 10:30 am today.
The court sentenced one M Samrat,26, to 1 year of imprisonment for possessing drugs-- half a year for possessing ganja and half a year for Yaba pills.
Samrat, who comes from Uzirpur Upazila of Barishal, was as well fined Tk 10,000, in default, he will have to serve a month more in jail.
