Film 'Haribol' to be submitted to censor board
Reza Ghatok's directorial debut film 'Haribol' will be submitted to the censor board soon. The film, which took three years to complete, gives the audience a glimpse into the sacrifices of war heroines during the Liberation War and sufferings of a marginalized religious minority family in a village.
The male member of the family fall victim to village politics and chooses to become a Matua.The plot of the film revolves around a young director who travels to a village for making a film on a war heroine. After he arrives there, he gets told that the war heroine had left Bangladesh for India long ago. However, he soon hears the story of a farmer, who became a Matua after losing his family.
'It took me three years to complete the shooting for the film, which portrays two stories at the same time. The film also depicts the plight of marginalized religious minority people,' Reza Ghatok, director of the film said. 'The film will be submitted to censor board soon. I hope film lovers across the country will find it entertaining', added Reza.
The film's screenplay has been written by the Reza Ghatok and it has been produced under the banner of Baleshwar Films. Angshuman has composed music for 'Haribol', Arijit Mitra designed sound and Sujoy Das did sound mixing. Kazi Faisal, Tripti Soren, Imran Hossain, Salim Haider, Pronab Das, Liakat Liku, Yusuf Boby, Jahid Hasan, Chinmoy Chakraborty and others have acted in the film.
