Ferdousi unveils autobiography
Popular film, television and stage actress Ferdousi Majumder has authored an autobiography book titled 'Ja Ichchha Tai'. The book has been published by Journeyman Books; it was launched at National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala.
National Professor Dr Anisuzzaman was present as the chief guest at the book launching ceremony. Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan, President of International Theatre Institute Bangladesh Nasiruddin Yousuff and writer Anisul Hoque were among others present at the function.
Ferdousi Majumder, has recounted her family life, university days, acting career on both stage and screen and more in 17 autobiographical essays published in the 140-page book.
'These essays in the book recount the story of my life. The book will give readers a glimpse into my childhood days, family life and acting career,' said Ferdousi Majumder at the book launch programme. The artiste kept the crowd smiling throughout her speech by telling funny stories and anecdotes.
Ferdousi Majumder earlier wrote about her family life in two books titled 'Mone Porey' (2007) and 'Nuri Kahini' (2010). Besides, she also translated three books including Shovon O Bochon and Pathar Soup featuring children's stories.
