Female student drowns in Dhanmondi Lake
A 17-year-old girl drowned in Dhaka’s Dhanmondi Lake Saturday (September 8) night.
Emi, the deceased, was a higher-secondary English medium student at a Dhanmondi institute.
Daughter of an expatriate in Qatar Litu, she lived with her family in Kaderabad Housing in Mohammapur.
Emi fell into the lake near Jigatola area around 10pm.
She was rescued by two pedestrians and was pronounced dead by the physicians after being taken to hospital, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost In-Charge SI Bacchu Mia told Banglanews.
On information, the deceased’s family went to the hospital.
