Feeling and expression in various art forms all flow in one stream
The path in the world of every artist runs endlessly through hard perseverance. His life is like a chapter. His search continued in stages. Is it the artist's desire to find the motion and location of the object beyond the limitations? He is the answer to the question himself but he took his position as true. The object in the painting carries his imaginary concept, its too the mathematical calculation of the rough reality which enters the subtlest feeling of breaking faith. It is like a constant search and pursuit of the heart.

The presence of ideas and expressions in song, acting, dance, recitation, sculpture and painting all flow in one stream. Abhinava Gupta has said these in Natya Shastra in the analysis of Rasa's thoughts and resources. I listened intently when AVK Bhatt in the Masters course taught us in a dramatic way in the class describing the aesthetic theory of Indian art. He loved Rabindra Sangeet. He used to sing in Bengali "Badol diner prothom kodom fool korecho dan" or "Klanti amar khoma koro provu". Sir knew that I could sing. I don't know how he knows.

He said I would come to his house one day and listen to my song. I sing for him "Aguner parashamani choyau prane", "Klanti amar khoma koro provu" and other. He recorded the songs and wished to listen to it till his last breath. This is my first experience to the love for Rabindra Sangeet from a non-Bengali guru.

There are some notable painters in Bangladesh who have strong affiliations to the song. Late artist Safiuddin Ahmed, Devdas Chakraborty, Qayyum Chowdhury are among them. Apart from the love of music it is worth to mention that the artist Mostafa Monwar wanders in other branches. In a word, the artists of all the branches are inspired by the artistic spirit of the other ones.

The development of art with the combination of expression and feeling exists in every art. Many of the fine artists we see roam in other branches of art, some in drama, some in songs or some others. Let us think of Satyajit Ray's application of fine arts he learned from Santiniketan in making movies. Painter Mostafa Monwar was able to apply his fine art skills successfully in puppets and plays. I and some of the fine art trainees of my Dhaka Teacher's Training College participated in his puppet making workshop. Teacher artist Bashirullah Bhai and artist Manjurul Hai Bhai were also present.

Presenting puppetry requires a combination of music, dance, acting, storytelling, poetry, and the arts and crafts, as all the arts complement each other in the making of the film. Almost every Friday after I got up in the eighth grade, I used to watch English movies in morning show at the Lion Cinema in Old Dhaka without the knowledge of the whole family. Since then, the use of different compositions and music by the camera in the film has inspired me.

The first goal of my life was to learn painting or to study photo technology. To sing used to be my hobby and now listening to it turns to hobby. Such hobbies can also be seen among poets and writers like Nirmalendu Gun, Shamsul Haque, Bulbon Osman and Anisul Haque, and many others who used to do painting or doing painting now. Some took part in solo exhibition while others took part in group ones.

There are also many architects who could sing, do pictures and photography like Abdul Samad, and renowned architect Mustafa Khalid Palash. I believe that the eminent architect Shamsul Waresh is one of the foremost deep-seated art critics of Bangladesh, the architect Rabiul Hussain was one of the foremost poets and art critics of Bangladesh. His contribution as an art critic was incomparable. Engineers Anwar Hossain and Dr. Shahidul Islam chose photography as their profession.

Even Khairul Anam Shakil has become a famous singer. Again, I see that Hasnat Abdul Hai, a skilled government bureaucrat played an important role in the empire of writing and scholarly skills. He is too a wise art critic. Saeed Ahmed was an expert in theatrical theory of art. He was a painting critic. I have seen some people who took critic as fancy and some people as a profession. The creativity is the basis of  the artist's life, who continues with the wealth of experience throughout his life in the joy of creation. Later, he could trace his roots in a new job.
