Ershad recovering, says GM Quader
The health condition of Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad is gradually improving, said party co-chairman GM Quader on Wednesday.
"Our party chairman is recovering well gradually...even he walked on his own this (Wednesday) morning," he said at a doa mahfil at the party chairman's Banani office, reports UNB.
Party international affairs joint secretary Hasibul Islam Joy arranged the programme seeking divine blessings for quick recovery of Ershad, who is undergoing treatment at a Singapore hospital.
The Jatiya Party cochairman hoped that Ershad will be able to return home soon and play his due role again for the welfare of the nation.
Quader urged the country's people to pray for Ershad's early recovery.
Jatiya party secretary general Moshiur Rahman Ranga, party presidium members Masuda M Rashid Chowdhury, Rejaul Islam and Fakhruzzaman Jahangir, among others, joined the programme.
On Sunday, Ershad went to Singapore for medical treatment as he was suffering from liver complications and low hemoglobin.
