Display Bangabandhu’s portrait at courtrooms: SC
The Supreme Court has directed the authorities concerned to preserve and display the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at all courtrooms of the lower court across the country.
The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs recently issued a gazette notification to this end, BSS reports.
The supreme court instruction came following a writ petition, filed seeking a legal instruction of displaying Bangabandhu’s portrait at the courtrooms on August 29, 2019.
