Dhaka will come to be overhead-cable free by 2024: Nasrul
State Minister for Ability, Energy and Mineral Solutions Nasrul Hamid said Dhaka city’s overhead cables can come to be replaced with underground cables next four years.
“Work to replace the overhead cables with underground cable connection is underway found in Dhanmondi area. Transparency and accountability in the sector will come to be even more strengthened by integrating modern tools including smart grid, sensible meter in power and energy operations,” the express minister explained at the inauguration ceremony of 5 Kilowatt Vertical Wind Turbine ‘Anubha’ on Monday.
The ceremony was organised by Bangladesh University of Pros at Bangladesh University of Experts (BUP) on its Campus.
“Dhaka North City Company (DNCC) provides undertaken a 45 MW power technology project from waste. In Narayanganj, the proposal to buy 6 MW electricity power produced from wastes is along the way of being delivered to the Cabinet Committee on Public Procurement,” the express minister said, explained the release.
The state minister said 1,570.77 MW electricity generation from solar powered energy have been approved.
He expressed expectation that Bangladesh will dsicover exceptional success in renewable energy by 2050.
Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan, Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Specialist (BUP), amongst others, spoke on the occasion.
