Recently, someone tagged Dev in a video in which a girl is requesting help save her father's life. Dev promptly replied saying that his staff is looking at it. "We've looked into the problem and we are trying to help the little girl in whatever way we can," stated the actor, adding, "Individuals were of the thought that people won't be in a position to serve food to COVID-affected families through the lockdown. But our service is obtainable during lockdown too. Every day, nearly 500-800 families are handed over food packets in Ghatal. In Kolkata, around 150-200 families are served foodstuff."

On the personal front, Dev is incredibly disheartened that his old friend, Srijit Sur, lost his father on Monday. "Those that know me, find out Srijit. He is my oldest good friend. His father passed on because of pneumonia on Monday. Uncle was like my dad. He was extremely affectionate towards me. I lost part of my childhood yesterday," he signed off.
