Decision on election schedule Nov 4: CEC
Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda said the final decision on the schedule for 11th parliamentary election will be taken in an Election Commission (EC) meeting on November 4.
CEC Huda made the remarks to reporters after holding a meeting with President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday (Nov 1).
In response to a question on the dialogue between the ruling party and other political parties, he said, “Dialogue is a good thing and we respect it. However the election will be held as per constitution. Dialogue will not affect the polls.”
Election Commissioners went to Bangabhaban to meet President Abdul Hamid election preparation and the announcement of its schedule.
CEC KM Nurul Huda led a five-member delegation of election commissioners into Bangabhaban at 3:30pm.
