Debjani reunites with Arindam Sil for 'Tirandaj Shabor'
She had earlier worked with Arindam Sil in the 2017 film 'Durga Sohay'. Now, after four years Debjani Chatterjee is set to play a key role in Arindam's next film in the Shabor series - 'Tirandaj Shabor'. In 'Durga Sohay', Debjani's screen presence and acting were appreciated by all. So, it will be interesting to see how the seasoned actress pulls off this time, especially when any character in Shabor film, whether it's small or big, plays a vital role in the narrative.
'Tirandaj Shabor's shooting had started in November last year. Then it got stalled due to the increasing rate of COVID-19 infections and since then the entire team was eagerly waiting to start it all over again. Finally, on Saturday, Arindam resumed the shoot and Debjani shared with us a behind-the-scenes picture straight from the sets. For now, the film will be shot in and around Kolkata and Debjani is equally thrilled and excited to be a part of the detective thriller.
Debjani who will be seen in an important character in 'Tirandaj Shabor' said, "My character in the film is quite different and challenging. It has lots of shades. I can't divulge anything else right now since it is a thriller. But I must say I am so excited to be a part of this film. Arindam da is always one of my favourites." Saswata Chatterjee, as he played the titular role in the previous films, will reprise detective Shabor Dasgupta. Subhrajit, Nigel Akkara, Devlina Kumar, Padmanabha Dasgupta, Joydip Kundu, Anirban Chakraborti, Shankar Chakraborty and others will also be seen in key roles.
Speaking about the film, based on Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay's novel by the same name, Arindam had earlier said that there is love story, there is crime and some high-octane action sequences in the next Shabor film.
