Deaths, cases from coronavirus continue steadily to rise
The death toll from COVID-19 climbed to 781 on Thursday as 35 more causalities were reported in Bangladesh in last a day.
At that time, 2,423 confirmed cases were recorded, raising the full total number to 57,563.
Some 571 patients recovered from the virus infection in the past a day. With these, the quantity of recovery cases rose to 12,161.
Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), confirmed the problem in the daily online bulletin on the COVID-19 situation in the afternoon.
She urged all to check out medical guidelines including wearing masks and hand gloves outdoor and maintaining social distancing.
Total 12,694 samples have already been tested till today.
Coronavirus cases were first reported in China in December last year.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11.
