Councilor Erfan Salim suspended
Erfan Salim, councilor of ward 30 of Dhaka South City Corporation, has been suspended.
The Local Government Division issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.
Erfan Salim, son of Haji Salim MP, was suspended after he was jailed by a mobile court on Monday night.
Earlier Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam told journalists that he'd be terminated on completion of a complete investigation.

A RAB's mobile court sentenced him and his bodyguard Zahid to 1 year in jail in two separate cases--one beneath the Arms Act and another under Narcotics Control Act.
Earlier, the mobile court in a raid seized two firearms, 38 walkie-talkies and liquor from the home.
