Comedian Kevin Hart sues YouTuber Tasha K for extortion following scandalous claims
In the latest celebrity legal drama, comedian Kevin Hart is taking controversial YouTuber Tasha K to court for alleged extortion.

The lawsuit stems from a bombshell interview with Hart's former assistant, Miesha Shakes, in which she made scandalous claims about the comedian.

Shakes says that Hart, 44, cheated on his wife Eniko Parrish and had the affair at his office. Shakes also claims she told Hart's wife that he was beinf unfaithful, and that Hart had a gambling problem.

According to reports, Hart is suing Tasha K, whose legal name is Latasha Kebe, and her company, Kebe Studios LLC, for defamation, civil extortion, breach of contract, and invasion of privacy.

Tasha K interview and alleged extortion
The interview, recorded in November 2023, featured Shakes making "false and defamatory statements" about Hart.

Following the interview, an alleged affiliate of Tasha K contacted Hart's team, threatening to release the interview unless Hart paid a ransom of $250,000. The comedian's team, however, promptly involved the police and issued a cease and desist letter to Tasha K, emphasizing Shakes's prior signing of a Non-Disclosure Agreement and Confidentiality Agreement during her employment from 2017 to 2020.

Despite legal warnings, Tasha K proceeded to post a teaser of the interview, touting its damaging nature.

The full interview was later published on her subscription-based website on December 22.

In the interview, Shakes discussed legal disputes involving Hart and made allegations about his personal life, including gambling problems and infidelity.

Kevin Hart's lawsuit is not Tasha K's first
Hart's legal team is pursuing charges of extortion, invasion of privacy, defamation, and breach of contract against both Tasha K and Miesha Shakes.

The lawsuit also accuses Tasha K of intentional interference with contractual relations.

Hart is seeking damages for general and compensatory damages, along with legal fees.

This legal clash is not the first time Tasha K has faced legal trouble.

The lawsuit highlights her history of "defamatory and improper content" about celebrities, including a previous case where she was found liable for damages exceeding $3 million in a defamation lawsuit by Cardi B.

The rapper had sued Tasha K in 2019 for making false and damaging claims.

Representatives for Kevin Hart and Tasha K have not responded to requests for comment from the media.

However, in response to the legal action, Tasha K reposted the interview on her Instagram Story.

As the legal battle unfolds, it adds another chapter to the ongoing challenges celebrities face in the age of social media and online content creation.
