Clash over land leaves 2 dead in Cumilla
Two people were killed in a clash over land dispute in Brahmanpara upazila of Cumilla on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Khorshed Alam, 45, son of Abdul Wadud Member and tea stall owner Shanu Miah, 60.

Witnesses said there was a long standing enmity between Shamsul Haque group and Liton group over a land, UNB reports.

As a sequel to the enmity, the two groups equipped with sharp weapons locked into a fierce clash at Shidlai village, leaving Khorshed dead and 16 people injured.

The two deceased belonged to Shamsul's group, said victim's family members.

The injured were rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital where Shanu Miah succumbed to his injuries.

Shahjahan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Brahmanpara Police Station, said that they recovered the bodies.
