China Harbour provides Khulna's COVID-affected poor persons with relief materials
China Harbour Engineering Organization Ltd (CHEC) provided comfort products for distribution among 2,000 poor households in Khulna City Corporation area, who are badly damaged by COVID pandemic. Comfort materials involve rice, lentil, potato, salt and soap.
Talukder Abdul Khaleque, Mayor of Khulna City Corporation received the relief elements from Md Shahed Ramjan, Chief Coordinator of CHEC Bangladesh, at the former’s workplace on July 7.
“The pandemic has badly hit the countrywide economy, while low earning groups are the worst affected. Since beginning of the pandemic we've been striving to support the indegent people in different areas of Bangladesh. This is a part of our corporate public responsibility program, which we hope to continue in the days in advance”, said Shahed Ramjan.
Earlier the company donated medical what to the Bangladesh authorities, foodstuffs and corona protection gears to poor persons in several areas including Mirsarai and Anowara Upazilas in Chattogram, Madaripur, Tangail and Bramhanbaria.
CHEC has successfully completed the Khulna Normal water Treatment Plant Job under Khulna WASA. Through the project implementation the business undertook several public programmes, focused on improve the standard of living and overall health of the town corporation residents.
